Refund Policy

Clear rules for credits, failed generations, edits, and payment issues.

If our system fails

Your credit comes back to your SnapsJo wallet.

If credits are used

Used generation and edit credits are usually final because the portrait is personalized.

If payment went wrong

Duplicate, accidental, or unauthorized charges can be reviewed by support.

Before purchasing credits

Credits are used when a generation or edit starts. AI results can vary based on photo quality, face visibility, lighting, and selected style. Upload a clear photo for the best result.

SnapsJo creates personalized digital portraits using AI. This policy explains when credits are returned, when paid refunds may be approved, and when purchases are final.

Our goal is simple: if something fails because of our system, we make it right. If credits are used to create or edit a portrait, the purchase is usually final because the work is personalized and processing costs begin once the request starts.

1. What this policy covers

This Refund Policy applies to:

  • credit purchases
  • AI portrait generations
  • AI portrait edits
  • paid downloads
  • payment issues
  • failed or incomplete processing

This policy does not replace any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country or region.

2. How SnapsJo credits work

SnapsJo uses credits for portrait generation and edits.

A generation credit is used when you start creating a portrait. An edit credit is used when you start editing a portrait. Free credits, bonus credits, promotional credits, and gifted credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded for money.

Once a generation or edit begins, the credit is normally treated as used because the request is sent for AI processing.

3. Free first portrait

New users may receive a free first portrait or free starter credit if this offer is available in the product.

Free portraits and free credits are provided as a trial experience. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or refunded.

4. When credits are returned

We will return the used credit to your SnapsJo wallet when:

  • a portrait generation fails because of a SnapsJo system error
  • a portrait generation fails because of our image provider
  • an edit fails because of a SnapsJo system error
  • an edit fails because of our image provider
  • you were charged a credit but no generation or edit request was actually started
  • a duplicate credit deduction happened because of a technical error

When this happens, the usual remedy is a credit return to your SnapsJo wallet so you can try again.

5. When a paid refund may be approved

A refund to your original payment method may be approved when:

  • you made an accidental purchase and no paid credits from that purchase were used
  • you were charged more than once for the same credit pack
  • a payment was made without your authorization and we can verify the issue
  • we are required to provide a refund under applicable law
  • SnapsJo permanently cannot deliver the purchased credits because of a platform-side issue

Approved refunds are sent through the payment provider. The time it takes for money to appear in your account depends on the payment provider, card network, bank, or wallet provider.

6. When refunds are not available

Refunds are not available for:

  • credits that were already used to start a generation
  • credits that were already used to start an edit
  • subjective dissatisfaction with the artistic style
  • results affected by low-quality, blurry, cropped, masked, heavily filtered, or unclear uploads
  • results affected by photos where the face is hidden, turned away, or difficult to detect
  • results affected by uploading the wrong photo
  • results affected by choosing the wrong style
  • unused free, bonus, gifted, or promotional credits
  • accounts suspended or restricted for violating our Terms or acceptable use rules
  • attempts to abuse free credits, refunds, promotions, or payment disputes
  • requests based only on a change of mind after credits were used

AI results can vary. SnapsJo does not promise that every portrait will match a user’s expectations, exact facial details, pose, lighting, or style preference. We provide edit options so users can refine results before using or downloading them.

7. AI portrait quality and edits

SnapsJo is designed to create beautiful personalized portraits, but AI-generated images are not manual studio photography.

The final result may vary based on:

  • uploaded photo quality
  • face visibility
  • lighting
  • angle
  • expression
  • selected style
  • AI interpretation
  • edit instructions

For best results, upload a clear front-facing photo with good lighting and a visible face.

If the result is close but needs improvement, use the available edit options before requesting a refund. Refunds are not normally provided when the product successfully generated a portrait but the user prefers a different artistic direction.

8. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Contact SnapsJo support first if you believe there is a billing issue. We can usually review failed credits, duplicate charges, or payment mistakes faster through support.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened, we may pause access to the related order, credits, or account while the dispute is being reviewed. We may provide order records, credit usage records, generation logs, policy acceptance records, and related account activity to the payment provider as part of the dispute process.

9. How to request a refund

Email support at [email protected] or use the form below.

Include:

  • your SnapsJo account email
  • payment date
  • order ID or payment reference, if available
  • what happened
  • whether any credits from the purchase were used
  • screenshot or proof of duplicate charge, failed payment, or error, if available

We aim to review refund requests within two business days.

10. Mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

If a law in your country gives you a mandatory right to cancel, refund, repair, replacement, or other remedy, that law will apply where required.

For digital content, users may be asked at checkout or before generation to confirm that they want SnapsJo to begin processing immediately and that they understand credits may become non-refundable once generation or editing starts.

11. Policy changes

We may update this Refund Policy as SnapsJo grows, adds new portrait categories, changes credit packs, or updates payment providers.
